The latest Bluenote Tattoo Blues Artist Spotlight goes out to a young up and comer preparing his domination of the blues scene (but has to finish high school first!) by the name of Christone "Kingfish" Ingram. Born in 1999, he was exposed to the Rich Gospel music and Delta Blues at a young age and eventually led to picking up the lead guitar at the age of 11. By the time he was 14, he had mastered Guitar, Drums and Bass in addition to adding vocals to his array of talents. With all the right influences such as Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Lightning Hopkins and others, in addition to sharing the stage with Bob Margolin, Guitar Shorty and even opening up for Buddy Guy, you can rest assured that Kingfish is well on his way to legendary blues musician status, and we couldn't be happier for him, as he is proving day after day that hard work pays off. We at Bluenote Tattoo look forward to seeing what Kingfish makes of his very bright musical future and will surely be keeping track of his future success. Best of luck, Christone!
